The Snow-Go Sleds.....

Sis has been telling people, "My Papa and Gram bought me a snow-go for Christmas!"

I have to correct that and tell them, "A snow-go sled."

She can only wish, and if she wasn't such a chicken she would see that her g0-go sled goes pretty fast, almost as fast as a real snow-go! (Not really, but when you are two it kind of seems like it!)

It took Jon about an hour apiece with each sled, and with the "help" of the 6 year old and the 2 year old. As soon as they were put together we got our gear on and headed to our favorite winter sledding spot.We were lucky enough that Uncle Max and Camryn came with us! The icing on the cake were two of Camryn's cousins came too--- it was sledding heaven!
You can't tell by this picture of Cam going down the hill... but it was about Zero degrees outside, yes 0- as in almost negative!
Let me tell you that just little butts belong on this Go-Go sled, Mommy butts are not allowed. I don't have a picture of me heading down the sled, and for that, I am thankful.

The new sled at our favorite spot....

Sledding in 2010 has never been better! Papa Paul and GB gave K girls a very very awesome sled for Christmas this year. We all love it, as you will see in the picture Dad even loves it! We've made it to our favorite sledding spot quite a few times so far this year, here's a short clip of one of our adventures.

Walking in Winter

She was carrying her gloves around like they were her babies

Oh man what a gorgeous weekend! In the teens with nothin' but blue skies! We had to take advantage. So we got all decked out and went walkin', or sledding, whichever way you want to look at it. We walked as far as we could and then decided to be at home and start the bonfire. We finished the day with a nice, hot steam. Can you get any better than that?
Kalin doesn't think so....

Another day at the hill....

We took advantage of some sunshine and temperatures about 0 and took off to Nerka Hill. I even bundled Sis up and got her outside to enjoy some sunshine and "warmer" weather. She didn't get to take any trips down though, but she was content to just watch.
How we love that hill (as did quite a few other people). Camryn was staying with us while Max was on a trip and Jon and I realized how much more fun sledding is when Kiley has a companion. There are only so many times I can "take jumps" and lug my old behind up and down that hill!

Sledding at Nerka Hill

It warmed up to a whopping 8 degrees (eight, above zero) in Dillingham, and it felt down right tropical! So we had to get outside and celebrate. After what seems like MONTHS of below zero temperatures we were happy to go outside and not freeze to death.

We luckily got to have Mr. Graelin David visit us for the day and him and Kiley decided that going sledding on Nerka Hill would be the best way to celebrate our "warm" day. So we bundled up and headed to the Hill. What fun! Jon and I got a taste of what it would be like to have a little boy.... and we liked it!

We sent Kiley and Graelin down on the fast "bue" sled by themselves and they unfortunately crashed. Graelin was not impressed- he cried and kept saying, "Big crash, no more, SNOW....." but when we asked him if he wanted again he said, "Yup" with no hesitation. But not on the "bue" sled.....
