Uncle Max's Birthday

My brother Max turned 30 on the 18th! We had a nice family party at my parent's house. Kiley even sang her Uncle "happy boootay".

Sledding

Here is a picture of Kiley getting ready to go on the "Go-Go" with her Dad. It warmed up to about 15 degrees so we were out the door ready to go sledding!

Max the Hunter

It hasn't been too cold around here for my brother Max. He still rips around on his new snowmachine no matter how cold it is! He went out moose hunting in -15 degree weather right around Christmas. As you can see from the pictures he saw a lot of moose and got a monster!!

The Acquarium

We went to the Dallas Acquarium,in the heart of Dallas. After fighting what seemed to be hours and hours of endless traffic, two potty accidents by Miss Kiley (thank goodness we had extra clothes!), and one puking incident by Devin (he felt better afterwards), we finally made it. We were supposed to go to the zoo....but that is another story. But all the drama was worth it. We all enjoyed the monkeys, fish, sharks, birds, spiders.... it was very nice.

Finally Home!

Our trip to Texas went great, but the return was a nightmare. We left Quinlan at 3:30 to make our plane at 6:00 am, made it into Seattle. Phew, right? Wrong. We ended up waiting, waiting and waiting some more in Seattle for our plane- a total of 11 hours! Come to find out that someone had flushed a diaper in the bathroom toilet and they couldn't get it out. ??

After a night in Anchorage we shopped til we dropped before we headed home. Luckily all that went well. Jon and Kiley went home on Frontier and I followed later. We flew from balmy 60 degree weather to -25. It is so good to be home! I had grand plans to ski every day, take Kiley sledding and just have some fun outside. Instead it has "warmed up" to -10 every "day" and plummeted down to -30 at night. We love Alaska!

Kiley emjoyed being home too. She loves playing with all her new toys, and has even MORE fun playing in the bathroom as you can see in the picture. Her and Olivia had a blast "washing" and playing together when Olivia came to visit. Since we have been home in January Kiley is "dapte" (pacifier) free, and has gone poop in the potty four times! She is definitely on her way to being a very big girl.

Christmas in Texas

The AK Clouses finally got to Texas- Jon, Shannon and Kiley anyway. Kami stayed home with Papa and Gram and helped babysit Auntie Jen's new puppy Harley. Tory flew to New Stuyahok to spend the holiday with his family (he's extended his stay a few days longer, we still haven't seen him in Dillingham!).

We enjoyed so many fun things- not everyone can say that a trip with their in-laws was a blast, but I can! Kiley enjoyed countless pony rides with her Auntie "Tep" and impressed her so much with her "natural ability" that she even got to ride the pony ALL BY HERSELF. Most mornings Kiley would grab my head and say, "Mommy, neeiighh (horse sound) ride, yes". She also enjoyed go cart rides, digging in the mud, the acquarium and just the ability to boss her four older boy cousins around to her heart's content!

I enjoyed some awesome shopping with my sister-in-law's, a trip to Dallas and to the acquarium. Even though I didn't get to participate in the "late night talks" due to the fact I was on Kiley duty, I enjoyed catching up with everyone and what is going on in their lives. Although I had fun in Dallas I know I am just not a city girl- the traffic and driving killed me! I know Jon enjoyed spending time with his siblings, nephews and parents.

Christmas in Dillingham

We had a very busy December in Dillingham. Busy with work, school, parties..... It is amazing how fast the month flew by! We had a very fun family Christmas party the weekend before we went to Texas. It was so much fun and filled with laughter, great stories and tons of great food.
