The Sand Dunes
The other day at dinner Jon asked the girls, "If you could go anywhere in the world for a vacation, where would you go?" Kiley said Hawaii.... and Kalin said, "THE SAND DUNES!" They sure have fun every time we make a stop here. It's such a gorgeous place, and so unusual to find so much sand at the base of a mountain range. We only got to go for a few hours this time, on our way back from Alamosa to La Junta. The girls had a blast running and playing in the sand.
They found the biggest hill they could find down and then run down super fast.
Miss Kolbi had fun riding in the back pack and watching her crazy sisters.
There was sooooo much sand the girls just couldn't get enough of it- running it through their hands and toes. We found sand in every nook and cranny when we got home!

Zapata Falls
While we were visiting in Alamosa we decided to go to Zapata Falls, a gorgeous little water fall about 25 minutes away. Unfortunately Aunt Jenny sprained her knee right before we were going to go and couldn't make it.
The girls, however, were super excited to go for a hike. Bella was really excited to go, even though she wasn't sure what a hike was exactly, she asked her Dad on our drive to the falls, "Dad what is hiking?"
Even Kolbi was excited! She sure spent a lot of time in this back pack this summer, but you can tell by the look on her face she really enjoyed it. She was out and about quite a bit!
Kolbi wasn't the only one that got a ride.
It was gorgeous up at the top! The water was cold but very pretty. The girls had fun climbing on the rocks and channeling their inner mountain goat.
What a great day, I wish we had more days like this with our Alamosa family.

Eleven Years of Bliss
Of wedded bliss that is.
It's hard to believe 11 years have gone by since we said "I Do" but we have three beautiful kids to prove it.
And to think we still stare at each other lovingly like this....... happy anniversary honey! I love you.
